The Six Freedoms
When I first travelled to Ghana, I came across the organisation “The Six Freedoms and Their Stables”. The Six Freedoms is an association dedicated to the welfare of horses in Ghana and beyond. What fascinated me most was not only their commitment to horse welfare, but also their understanding of the human–horse relationship — one based on dignity, trust, care, compassion and freedom.
